Sade Mateo Presentation Reflection

My first presentation to the class was on chapter 10: Group Leadership and Problem Solving. We were all assigned to a subchapter, equally dividing the work among all of us. I learned countless information on the subject my group and I covered, as the same with the other two class presentations. There are many things I can say about my group - reliable, friendly, efficient - and I'm proud to say I was apart of that. My subchapter was on communicating group solutions, which is about the different kinds of deliverables and how they're shared with one another.     At first, when I was assigned to this group, I was mistrustful and unconvinced with the project as a whole. In the past, I had bad luck working in groups, as there is always someone who doesn't do the work or one that doesn't show up on presentation day, but my group showed me otherwise. We quickly created a group chat and went straight to work. Our group leader was there to answer any questions and i...

Group 3 Reflections

I first wanna talk about my group which is group three. Group three discussed Group Leadership and Problem Solving and my group did a very good job in talking about it detail by detail.   We grouped up our partners by two people each and then we had each of us do a sub heading to break down the work a bit. In doing this, we made it easier for us to work and everybody had the chance in participating equally.   We also covered on how the chapter talks about analyzing, diagnosing, and dealing with problems. In a group leader ship you have to go through five steps in learning the objectives then last you make the decision. I like how we presented I feel like we gave in some funny clips in explaining the do's and don'ts in being a good leader and how to solve problems. We talked about how being an active listener and having great creativity which are part of key solving problems we need to look out for. I liked my group it's almost as if we are a good example of gr...

Group 3 Blog Reflection- Grace Thompson

Thompson, Grace Tuesday/Thursday  9:50 a.m-11:05 a.m. Our group oversaw chapter 10 which was Group Leadership and Problem solving and I was the leader of my group for this project. Being the leader of this group proved to be an opportunity to help my fellow students and myself at getting this presentation done on time and to the best of our abilities. It also helped me get to know all my group members. It was curious to have a chapter that touched upon all the qualities, tips, and task roles required to help have a successful and cohesive group, it helped in major way as we encountered some issues and miscommunications. I was grateful for this chapter as I felt it helped me learn how to be in a successful group now and for future life situations. I enjoyed working with my group and learned to see different views and ways of doing things. I feel like we all came together in the end as one. I also enjoyed implementing videos that were fun and helped showed different examples o...

Christian Cabiedes - Group Reflection Blog

Christian Cabiedes  SPC 1017 February 3, 2021 Group Reflection Blog         Working on this first project for the class was my first true time working as a whole group to achieve something and it was a great experience. This presentation was about group leadership and problem solving and it made me realize the importance of organizing together as a group. Coincidentally, my partners and I's sub chapter was on group presentations, which was a huge and massive help as it gave great tips and points that I personally used while preparing our presentation. We also had a great leader in Grace, who did a great job of trying to get everything together and helping us if we had any trouble. When I heard of a "group presentation", I initially thought of it as a drag because I've always preferred to do presentations myself in high school, but this was definitely a whole new experience. They say team work makes the dream work and we definitely did a great job of com...

Melody Perez Blog (Group 3)

Melody Perez Serrano SPC-1017  Group 3 blog reflection                                      Working as a team and helping each other was the best thing about working in a group presentation. All the presentations had something unique and original. Our presentation was focused on leadership and problem solving. At first it was a bit difficult since we did not know each other, and we had not yet planned how we were going to distribute the work. Our leader distributed the jobs and explained what we had to do, and also answering questions and putting together everyone’s ideas. We divided our chapter into several subchapters so that all team members had the opportunity to express themselves freely on their specific topic. My subchapter is about evaluating group effectiveness. Since I had a partner, he and I put together ideas and teamwork to create the best possible presen...

Group #3 Blog Lorena Gonzalez

Lorena Gonzalez  Blog( 500 words ) In our fist presentation the profesor assigned us in groups. I was very nervous and scared because I did not know anyone in class. I was assigned to group #3, we did chapter 10, it was about Group Leadership and Problem Solving. To be honest, at first, I was skeptical about our topic. For me it was hard to speak about it, and come up with really good ideas but my partners made it easy for me and it became a really nice space for us to communicate and gave our honest opinions. I really like our presentation and I consider we were pretty much organized from the beginning. Our leader organized the chapter to us in equal parts so everyone had a role to play in the presentation and be able to cover all the content in less time and more efficiently. We had the time advantage in our side because we were the last group to present. I believe there is always details that we could made better but overall it was a good and complete presentation we add a...

Blog Reflection- Anniet Vallejo

My first presentation about group leadership and solving problem made me understand that the combined effort is better than any member could have achieved on its own. However not all groups manage to work as a team and when this happens it is easy to point to their leader. But this doesn't fall to just one person, it's part of making group decisions. In our presentation we discuss what effective group leadership means and the responsibilities of each of its members. Then we represent how shared leadership and effective communication develop during group meetings, then we saw problem solving and finally opted for methods to communicate the results and evaluate the effectiveness of the group.   Teamwork involves commitment, it is not just strategy and procedure, there needs to be leadership, harmony, accountability, organization, and cooperation among each of the members and I think  that ours achieves all that. Activities flowed faster and more efficiently. We focus on t...

Group 3 Reflection

Group 3 Reflection  Name: Susej Diaz   In my group we had the honor of presenting group 3. I don't have any complaints, everything went as perfect as I didn't imagine. The students in my group were all very good and we had an excellent communication between everyone.  We help each other in everything we have doubts. He is also saying that all the groups did an excellent job and all the presentations were phenomenal. In all three presentations I learned a lot and had a lot of fun. In group 1 I know the topic that was discussed was Interactual Communication in which I learned many things I did not know. They talked about what cultures, traditions and belie were. I loved all the examples they gave of culture, for example, that of the Fourth of July, I loved it. They also talk about what is value. One of the most important one that was Interactual Communications, I learned that is a discipline that studies communications across different cultures. Now I'm going to count ...

Andrei Dumitrascu 500-Word Blog

I enjoyed the presentation and all of the work that went into it a lot. The group and the teamwork involved, were all great. Our chapter was all about group leadership and problem solving. Every subchapter was assigned to a few people in the group, and our work on the presentation began. The first sub-chapter was about leadership. It went through the different types of leadership roles, functions, tasks, responsibilities, and so on... The first topic of leadership was task roles, which went through the different roles, such as givers, seekers and analyzers. Second topic was maintenance roles, such as supporters, interpreters, harmonizers, and mediators. Third topic was procedural roles, such as logistics coordinators, expediters, gatekeepers, and recorders. Fourth topic was about the shared leadership responsibilities, such as being committed to the group goal, or managing conflict among members. Next Subchapter was Effective Meetings, this subchapter went over the guidelines for...
