Group Reflection Blog #2 - Andy Macias

Andy Macias  SPC 1017 March 24, 2021 My group, group #3 presented the pandemic. Our presentation went phenomenal everyone did an amazing job regardless of the fact that we were the first group presenting and had less time thanks to the great communication we all had, Grace and Lorena did a great introduction for the Coronavirus, Susej and I covered the history/overview of the pandemic, Andrei and Claudia did the public and personal recounts of the virus, Melody and Christian covered the handling of the virus in the united states and other countries, and finally Sade and Anniet went over the local and national resources regarding the whole pandemic. like I said before just great teamwork all around couldn't ask for a better team we put in a lot of effort and it shows.  The other groups projects which were Education and Racism were also amazing. Although I feel as if they had too many videos, They covered there topics beautifully and talked about the many issues we're...

Sade's Reflection Bog #2

This time around, my group a.k.a group 3, had the pleasure to present first. Our presentation was on the COVID-19 pandemic. I learned an uncounted amount of information. I'm glad I had the chance to not only educate myself, but also educate my classmates on what the virus is, how it can be treated, and ways to prevent catching it. Everyone in my group partnered up with someone and as the last presentation, I partnered up with Anniet, a reliable and dedicated individual, and we quickly went to work. It was safe to say that this time around, I was not nervous to present to the class. The presentation started off with Lorena and Grace, who introduced our topic to the class. After they covered their part, Susej and Andy were up, speaking on the virus' history. After that, Andrei and Claudia went over recounts of the virus, and Christian and Melody spoke on how other countries handled the pandemic as well as the United States. Lastly, Anniet and I did our research on national a...

The Future Holds Many Opportunities Group Presentations. -Grace Thompson

Grace Thompson Tues/Thursday Class 9:50a.m to 11:05a.m In this set of presentations, our group was the first to present and our subject was the pandemic. I really enjoyed covering this topic, as it is such an important part of our lives currently and will be a big part of our history on a global scale. With that being said there are so many facets and issues to talk about with this pandemic, that it was a bit difficult to narrow it down and create a presentation that would flow however we pulled through with some leadership on my part and group effort. Lorena and I started the presentation with the introduction of what the virus exactly is, how it enters and affects the body. And we discussed the issues we are facing with it from post COVID-19 secondary medical issues to new strains and second waves. From there, Susej and Andy covered the history and overview of the coronavirus. Susej did an amazing job in giving us a history recap of the virus and how it may have come to be as we...

Group 3 Reflections

In my group, which is group 3, we focused on the topic of the pandemic and how we all got the chance to discuss about something that is happening globally. We first talked about the statistics of the pandemic and we provided sources and links that would help back up our presentation. I liked working with my group because we reviewed and deleted some things that weren't necessary and switched them out with better details that would help our presentation flow more. I am very proud on how well spoken my group is and how everyone showed up the day of the presentation. My group talked about what covid is and how it was spreading so fast, then we kind of went in to more detail and talked about the affects covid had on older people and how many deaths occurred due to the pandemic. For this presentation our chapter focused on communications and we tried to connect the way we write with this chapter. In my section, I provided a video on people being interviewed on the pandemic and how they ...

Reflection, Blog#2: Lorena Gonzalez

Blog #2 Lorena Gonzalez For this second presentation or group #3 choose as a topic of discussion the Pandemic, and how covid-19 has affected our lives for more than a year on this date.  After finishing the  presentation I felt it was more well prepared than the first one and our group was ready to do a even better job. I describe our presentations as outstanding and full of information about Covid-19 from the way it started and how it has spread all over the world to this day when we have a little bit more hope of a normal life product of the creation of the vaccine and the measures to control the spread. Our presentation at first it was really stressful because this time we were the first group to present, our topic The Pandemic has a lot of information to go through and some articles even contradicted each other making it really hard to find the best and most complete information, but I think over all we did a good job and am very proud with the effort and dedication ...

Reflection Blog # 2

Melody Perez Serrano    SPC 1017    Group Reflection Blog               Our second group presentation was amazing, at first it was very stressing since we weren't able to plan so ahead of time because  we were the first group to present. At the beginning everything that we had to do, was super overwhelming but thanks of what we learned from out previous presentation  we were able to connect and make the presentation as good as we can. The topic was so big that we had trouble planning out how we were going to start. The meeting with the librarian helped a lot in this issue since she guided us in the best way on how to find  resources for our topic. The topic was about covid-19 pandemic, we covered all the bases and each of us concentrated in specific sub topics to help the audience understand better the topic and out presentation. Our ...

Reflection Blog #2

Christian Cabiedes  SPC 1017 February 3, 2021 Group Reflection Blog For our second class project, the class groups had to make presentations about real-life situations. My group was actually set to present first and our topic was on the COVID-19 pandemic. I really enjoyed this project because the fact that the topics were about things that are very current, made the project more enjoyable. I like covering the pandemic as it is very important and will be a very important moment in time when we look back on it in the future. We covered everything about it from how it spreads to the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. The specific part me and my partner were covering was the handling of the virus in the United States compared to other countries around the world. Our group also had to make a brochure and a study guide. Our brochure looked very professional and was very well-made. The study guide was sort of like a summary of our whole presentation. The group in general was also help...

Blog Reflection 2- Anniet Vallejo

In our second presentation, the number 3 group  to which  I belong investigate d  this new pandemic that is beating the whole world, the coronavirus. Our team touched on topics like  what is  COVID-19  , its history and development,  how it affects  people both in their health as well as physically,  socially,  and economically. We also investigated the measures that were taken in our country.   The last sub chapter  was investigated  by  my  partner and  I, which  is about  national and local resources  for the  coronavirus.   We investigate as much as possible on this topic, we cover everything from the sites where we can  get  test ed  for COVID-19 or get the vaccine, to the places where there are free distribution programs for those affected by  coronavirus.   It is important to know that our campus is one of those places and in which we contribute...

In my group everyone help each other when someone needed some help and that's make a group to do awesome things and a good work.  The three groups did a really goods projects with a lot of information and support details which make the projects super interesting. The three projects had an interesting topics which call the readers attention, I said this because in my case they took my attention until the end. My groups project was about the current pandemic that we have right now "Covid-19". My partners and I putted all our effort to do our best in that project. We talk about how the Covid- is transmitted, about the incubation time. Also in my group project we talk about the current treatment that we had to fight this pandemic. Andrei Dumitrascu, Blog #2

The presentations we did this month were all great. Its quite evident that lots of coordination, teamwork, and detail went into them. With that said, I think our group definitely used the most factual, and reliable information within the presentation. With the information coming from sources such as the Pew Research Center, National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism,. National Health Interview Survey by the CDC, and so on... As opposed some of the other groups that used the likes of Vox.            Speaking of our presentation, we talked about the history and characteristics of coronavirus, and its effects on people, the economy, businesses, society, and so on... The presentation began with a not so quick introduction to the Pandemic. Describing SARS-CoV-2 and Covid-19, Grace wrote, SARS-CoV-2 is the "human coronavirus and a member of the coronaviridae family".  Covid-19 is a virus, that was first rep...
