Group Reflection Blog
For our second class project, the class groups had to make presentations about real-life situations. My group was actually set to present first and our topic was on the COVID-19 pandemic. I really enjoyed this project because the fact that the topics were about things that are very current, made the project more enjoyable. I like covering the pandemic as it is very important and will be a very important moment in time when we look back on it in the future. We covered everything about it from how it spreads to the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. The specific part me and my partner were covering was the handling of the virus in the United States compared to other countries around the world. Our group also had to make a brochure and a study guide. Our brochure looked very professional and was very well-made. The study guide was sort of like a summary of our whole presentation. The group in general was also helpful and kind too. We all split each subcategory into two partners and everyone did a fantastic job covering their section. Lorena and Grace gave an introduction about the virus, Susej and Andy went over the virus' history, Andrei and Claudia provided public and personal recounts of the virus, Melody and I covered the handling of the pandemic in the United States and other countries, and then Sade and Anniet talked about local and national resources regarding the whole pandemic. Again, I feel like the whole group did a great job coming together and producing a great presentation. This was a great example of the saying, "teamwork makes the dreamwork". Grace, our leader, also did a great job of organizing and getting the whole group together, We definitely wouldn't have been able to do it without her. Our presentation also had very educational videos talking about various topics on the pandemic. Once again, it was an absolute pleasure working with my group on this second project and I look forward to working on other projects with them. I feel like the rest of the groups also did a great job with their presentations as well. Every group's presentations looked very nice, were full of great and educational information, and also had very informative videos that had to do with their presentations. I can tell that everyone in their respective groups is getting more comfortable with working with one another because the first project presentations were great, but these were even better. If I had to point out one minor complaint, it is the fact that each group slightly had too many videos. I feel like the members of the group could have done more talking, but it was not a big deal at all. Lisette and Sofia also helped a huge amount with making the group feel comfortable. Overall, this was another great experience. I really believe our group and the rest of the groups did a great job of coming together and producing great presentations.
