Group 3 Reflections

In my group, which is group 3, we focused on the topic of the pandemic and how we all got the chance to discuss about something that is happening globally. We first talked about the statistics of the pandemic and we provided sources and links that would help back up our presentation. I liked working with my group because we reviewed and deleted some things that weren't necessary and switched them out with better details that would help our presentation flow more. I am very proud on how well spoken my group is and how everyone showed up the day of the presentation. My group talked about what covid is and how it was spreading so fast, then we kind of went in to more detail and talked about the affects covid had on older people and how many deaths occurred due to the pandemic. For this presentation our chapter focused on communications and we tried to connect the way we write with this chapter. In my section, I provided a video on people being interviewed on the pandemic and how they were affected including these people's point of views on how their families got covid. These families talked about the hard times they went through when their families got covid and their personal view on what they felt like, they talked about their symptoms and how they had to go from hospitals to hospitals in order to give their family members medical attention. My family actually got covid so I related heavily onto this subject and felt passionate about the topic since it's something very close to me. Me and my family were affected for what felt like an eternity but was close to two months. I like how my group compared how other countries handled the pandemic and what could have been done to prevent the spread of covid. We first started by comparing how Europe handled covid by providing videos and statistics of covid rates. I liked how my group did this because it goes into depth and provides evidence on how we can state and have an opinion on how our world handled the pandemic and we did a wonderful job in doing so by going over everything. 

The other two groups focused on education and racism and they did a very good job in talking about how racism is a social and global issue and how it changed society in many ways. I liked how they presented the issues within their topic and how they worked together in order to advocate awareness for these issues that need to be talked more often. As for the other group, I appreciate how the other group spoke about the aspects of education and how it can affect us all differently. Overall I had a really fun time learning about these things because it is something everyone should look into and i'm glad I worked with my group to learn more. I'm actually impressed on how everyone gave it their all in order to show a wonderful presentation.

Reflection Blog # 2

          Melody Perez Serrano    SPC 1017    Group Reflection Blog               Our second group presentation was amazing, at first it was very stressing since we weren't able to plan so ahead of time because  we were the first group to present. At the beginning everything that we had to do, was super overwhelming but thanks of what we learned from out previous presentation  we were able to connect and make the presentation as good as we can. The topic was so big that we had trouble planning out how we were going to start. The meeting with the librarian helped a lot in this issue since she guided us in the best way on how to find  resources for our topic. Group Reflection Blog #2 - Andy Macias

 Andy Macias  SPC 1017 March 24, 2021 My group, group #3 presented the pandemic. Our presentation went phenomenal everyone did an amazing job regardless of the fact that we were the first group presenting and had less time thanks to the great communication we all had, Grace and Lorena did a great introduction for the Coronavirus, Susej and I covered the history/overview of the pandemic, Andrei and Claudia did the public and personal recounts of the virus, Melody and Christian covered the handling of the virus in the united states and other countries, and finally Sade and Anniet went over the local and national resources regarding the whole pandemic. like I said before just great teamwork all around couldn't ask for a better team we put in a lot of effort and it shows.  The other groups projects which were Education and Racism were also amazing.
