Blog Reflection 2- Anniet Vallejo

 In our second presentation, the number 3 group to which I belong investigated this new pandemic that is beating the whole world, the coronavirus. Our team touched on topics like what is COVID-19 , its history and development, how it affects people both in their health as well as physically, socially, and economically. We also investigated the measures that were taken in our country. The last subchapter was investigated by my partner and I, which is about national and local resources for the coronavirus. We investigate as much as possible on this topic, we cover everything from the sites where we can get tested for COVID-19 or get the vaccine, to the places where there are free distribution programs for those affected by coronavirus. It is important to know that our campus is one of those places and in which we contribute by bringing food and other products to help those who were left without work due to this pandemic.

 Through my subchapter I communicated how the capacity to test across the country has grown, which are sponsored by the government, as well as information on where to be vaccinated. Finally, I provided information on the food distribution programs that are the same for free and a number of places in our city where they are being carried out.  

  

  I think that my team like the first presentation made it excellent since we understand and work well as a team, helping each other and providing us with information, also thanks to the good leader that we have who always helps us with the organization and planning of the presentation. Also, I think our work was well-encompassing despite the amount of content we could talk about. It is a very informantive presentation as it is a real topic that we are living today and of which all people should have knowledge. In our presentation you can find videos as a source and some links from sites like I said above, where we can get tested, vaccinated, or get food help.

  

  Taking our subject to the part of communication which is another detail that we had to take into account we can say that all this has been achieved by the media that use precise language that is crucial to speak effectively to make sure that they are understandable to the public, this is how people know where they can go to get their vaccines , be tested, or receive food aid. At the time of communication, a specific language has been used, with familiar terms, providing details and examples that facilitate understanding. Through language, speaking accurately and speaking clearly, we are able to understand what is going on around us.


  To be honest the three presentations were wonderful, with enough information to fully understand the topics. Teamwork is the result of these excellent presentations. I got a lot of information effectively. The slides helped me better understand these and what is happening in real life and above all the videos presented were a good source.

Reflection Blog # 2

          Melody Perez Serrano    SPC 1017    Group Reflection Blog               Our second group presentation was amazing, at first it was very stressing since we weren't able to plan so ahead of time because  we were the first group to present. At the beginning everything that we had to do, was super overwhelming but thanks of what we learned from out previous presentation  we were able to connect and make the presentation as good as we can. The topic was so big that we had trouble planning out how we were going to start. The meeting with the librarian helped a lot in this issue since she guided us in the best way on how to find  resources for our topic. Group Reflection Blog #2 - Andy Macias

 Andy Macias  SPC 1017 March 24, 2021 My group, group #3 presented the pandemic. Our presentation went phenomenal everyone did an amazing job regardless of the fact that we were the first group presenting and had less time thanks to the great communication we all had, Grace and Lorena did a great introduction for the Coronavirus, Susej and I covered the history/overview of the pandemic, Andrei and Claudia did the public and personal recounts of the virus, Melody and Christian covered the handling of the virus in the united states and other countries, and finally Sade and Anniet went over the local and national resources regarding the whole pandemic. like I said before just great teamwork all around couldn't ask for a better team we put in a lot of effort and it shows.  The other groups projects which were Education and Racism were also amazing.
