In our fist presentation the profesor assigned us in groups. I was very nervous and scared because I did not know anyone in class. I was assigned to group #3, we did chapter 10, it was about Group Leadership and Problem Solving. To be honest, at first, I was skeptical about our topic. For me it was hard to speak about it, and come up with really good ideas but my partners made it easy for me and it became a really nice space for us to communicate and gave our honest opinions. I really like our presentation and I consider we were pretty much organized from the beginning. Our leader organized the chapter to us in equal parts so everyone had a role to play in the presentation and be able to cover all the content in less time and more efficiently. We had the time advantage in our side because we were the last group to present. I believe there is always details that we could made better but overall it was a good and complete presentation we add a beautiful layout and funny videos that represented our topic. I am really happy that I have to work with this same team for the rest of the semester. They are all committed students and they were ready to put in work. 

The other two groups did an amazing job too, I considered that in this class we are all committed to our assignments and ready to have the work done. In group #1 the art work in the PowerPoint was beautiful and outstanding and it went perfectly with the theme. They made a clear and flawless explanation of their topic and the audience was able to understand their point and what they want to talk about. They did a really good summary of their chapter and were definitely and example to us and considering the small window of time they had their PowerPoint was amazing and well explained. Their theme, Intercultural Communication represented the reality of our life and is something that we see in an everyday scenario. This theme is definitely something that we can all see ourselves reflected in and we can associated with it.

Group number 2 did a great presentation also, their theme Communicating in Groups was a well developed topic and in some way related to group’s #3 for their similar approach to what being in a group and work together means. They perform and strong presentation with good visual examples and a well explained chapter. I will also will like to recognize the work our class leaders did, they were always there to explain and gave us examples to make our presentations more strong and visually pleasing.  

This presentation brought me many experiences that I will apply to my future projects. I learn how to present in front of other people even though it was through a camera, I lost part of that fear that I had of speaking in public and it made me more secure of myself. It was definitely a good opportunity to work as a team and learn from others. Now I am more confident of what I can do and with more experience for future projects so I can perform better.

Reflection Blog # 2

          Melody Perez Serrano    SPC 1017    Group Reflection Blog               Our second group presentation was amazing, at first it was very stressing since we weren't able to plan so ahead of time because  we were the first group to present. At the beginning everything that we had to do, was super overwhelming but thanks of what we learned from out previous presentation  we were able to connect and make the presentation as good as we can. The topic was so big that we had trouble planning out how we were going to start. The meeting with the librarian helped a lot in this issue since she guided us in the best way on how to find  resources for our topic. Group Reflection Blog #2 - Andy Macias

 Andy Macias  SPC 1017 March 24, 2021 My group, group #3 presented the pandemic. Our presentation went phenomenal everyone did an amazing job regardless of the fact that we were the first group presenting and had less time thanks to the great communication we all had, Grace and Lorena did a great introduction for the Coronavirus, Susej and I covered the history/overview of the pandemic, Andrei and Claudia did the public and personal recounts of the virus, Melody and Christian covered the handling of the virus in the united states and other countries, and finally Sade and Anniet went over the local and national resources regarding the whole pandemic. like I said before just great teamwork all around couldn't ask for a better team we put in a lot of effort and it shows.  The other groups projects which were Education and Racism were also amazing.
